 new eye bug?

So I have, of course, been gone for awhile and I just downloaded the new version and am trying it out..and...the paralysis eyes no longer attack?!

I've walked up and poked them with ease so then I was like "huh" and started walking circles around them and they havent attacked me once.

Just thought you should know,.

Hmm...this doesn't seem to happen in the current dev code, at least. Does it happen to you every time, or just some of the time?

I have tested this by standing 4 squares away in its line of effect and pacing back and forth for 150 turns. It hasnt fired a paralysis bolt once.

I am running the latest version you link to on your forum sticky. MageGuilg 1.2

oh what the fuck?

goblin darters arent firing darts at me either?

they are invariably running?

I think I might reinstall after my current game because things just seem to be totally broken on this end.

at least with enemy projectiles.

Next up: trying to shapeshift and use these abilities.

keep in mind these problems are tested over a long period of time, in some cases several hundred turns.

It's just not happening and I have never experienced these problems before I downloaded and ran the newest version.

... that darter sure will hit me with melee attacks if i step within his threat radius ... but he sure wont dart me Sad

any sort of projectile attack isnt being used.

these monsters fail to use their powers:

dryad
hydrowurm
darter
eyes

meanwhile powers like invisibility, teleportation, exploding motes etc continue to work.

so, nahj, any idea what's up?

or do you have a previous build available for download anywhere?
cuz its not very interesting when all the monsters are melee beaters without powers.

anything I could do to make looking into this easier?

Well, I'm not sure what's wrong with it, but it works in the dev code. The good news is, that means it's fixed for the next version. The better news for you is, now that you're added to the beta list, you'll have access to the version in which it works. Smile

excellent, what do I do to get the newest beta copy?

I really enjoy mage guild more than most roguelikes and was terribly dissapointed when it stopped working right for me.

Thanks, I'm not having any of those problems with the latest beta.

My computer is broken so I only play at relatives' houses now and probably dont have time to properly test the level editor but at least I can play mage guild where monsters actually have abiltieis now and not have it be boring anymore.
