Several Issues

This may be intentional, but any attempts to set the font, from the options window, to regular (i.e. not bold etc) sets it to bold instead. You CAN, however, set it to regular from the xml file, so I'm assuming it is a bug of some kind.

Also, as far as I can tell, blinkbats' dissappearing can cause the game to crash, as well.

By the way, great roguelike much easier to get into than NetHack and those.

Yeah, there are a couple different mob powers that are causing crashes now (for some reason...). I'll take a stab at the bolding issue as well...hadn't noticed that.

Hunh...I don't seem to be able to get this one to happen, on my machine. Let's see if I can get some more info, figure out where it's failing at...

-What OS are you on?
-What font are you trying to set it to? (font name, style, size)
-What is shown on the options window about the font, when you hit OK on the font dialog?

Well, that seems to have just gone away on its own, so I'm unsure if it was just the comp acting wonky or not. It was probably an issue on my end . However, if it helps, I'm on Vista, and it happened with all the fonts I tried including the default one.

Well, I can't seem to replicate it, so I can't very well fix it, but if it starts happening again, let me know.
